I have been to Amaya Express many time, and every time there is good food and great staff! Definitely a first pick for Indian food in Burlington, whether it be dining in or taking out!

Great food and really tasty. The Chettinad Prawns is sooooo good and the service was perfect.

So, with a deep understanding of Indian food, my visit to Amaya was 2ith great expectations as it is quite known for good food. And yes it is as expected. With an Indian perspective the food is almost Indian, one of my favorite dishes in Indian cuisine is tandoori chicken and Butter chicken, an appetizer and a curry. The former which was awesome but the latter was more of a sweet curry not the authentic butter chicken, too sweet for my taste.Awesome samosas. So enjoy very Indian, mild not too hot food. A d not too spicy as well.

This spot is the one I like best. I visit plenty of restaurants but here I go the most. The team is very friendly and the cooking they place on your table is so appetizing. I am always happy to have a good meal in this restaurant. Highly recommended.

Nice people but in my opinion the flavour is just average Indian food. Not sure what people are absolutely raving about on here, although I did notice the meat in my butter chicken was white and above average quality so that is appreciated.

The owners where so kind and patient while I made my choice for lunch. The salad and vegetarian pizza was excellent! Loved the artwork! It was nice sitting outside to eat! I will recommend you to Friends and Family. Thankyou!

Delicious. The flavor was perfect, the chicken was fresh and moist nothing like the other dry chicken from others in the area they serve the perfect amount of breads and the rice was perfect as well. everything is well priced. Customer service is friendly and great. We will definitely return!

If you eat here, you won't be disappointed. It's nice and clean, the decor is modern and the staff are very friendly. Plus, everything is made fresh in their kitchen! Our family ordered the Coastal Prawns, Chicken Vindaloo & the Chicken Biryani along with some Naan. We were very satisfied and look forward to our next visit. 🙂

Best place for Indian food. I'm Indian so I always try to look around for good indian food so I found this "Amaya express" great! Service is great food is great . Love being there always.

Great experience, nice helpful service. Some of the best Indian food I've had in a long time. Different mix of spices than the usual seems homemade. Everything was nicely presented and tasted great.

I've been to this location of Amaya twice. Both times the food was excellent. The tandoor chef really knows his stuff. The varieties of naan offered here are phenomenal. Do not miss out on the kebabs either. I have also ordered catering from this location for approximately 170 people. The food was raved over by everyone who tasted it. Definitely one of the joints I would recommend if you ever have a craving for Indian Cuisine.

Not an extensive menu, but whatever they had, was tasty and the ambience was good too

We have been loyal customers for a long time, but recently our takeout experience has been very disappointing. I think as their customer base grew they kind of got spoiled. The portions are ridiculously small, the quality of food is lacking, I will definitely take my business elsewhere, they don’t deserve our loyalty.

Excellent food and great service and staff. First time but I will be back! Many other options I want to try and my first choices didn’t disappoint- very tasty, nicely spiced, fresh vegetables, tender cuts of lamb and chicken and good portions.

Delightful experience overall. Friendly staff, enticing menu that did not disappoint with extraordinary flavours and quality cuts of meat. The pieces of meat in each dish were large, tender and very nice cuts. Restaurant is busy in the evening. Unfortunately, I felt that the frequency of Skip the Dishes delivery drivers took away from our intimate dinner/date when they came and left through the restaurant during our meal. We also noticed that the portions were smaller (two samosas instead of prior serving of three) and prices have also increased.

Good Ambiance. We went there on one of the busiest evening(valentines day) , but even then had a wonderful experience. The food quality was excellent and the staff were very courteous. Keep up the good work!

Hands down, this is the best Indian food in the Hamilton-Burlington region. Tammi and I had tried all the local favourites and none measured up to our standards of quality and taste until we found Amaya. Their take on pakoras is unique and incredibly tasty, so be sure to try them out.

The place was clean and both the Takka masala and Butter chicken had large chunks of white meat.My wife and I found that the Butter chicken to be overly sweet and the Tekka masala was just okay. They didn't have any tea to choose from - strange for an Indian restaurant inmy humble opinion. I also found that the reviews from others to be a little misleading as I found the place to be mediocre - no bad but nothing special.

Food great... however had to wait over an hour and a half. Priority to takeout. Server was very apologitic and compensated with gift card. Need to prioritize those in the restaurant. Not sure we would go back...so sad great food.

The food is decent, pretty high fat and an incredibly rich sauce in the butter chicken almost overwhelms the chicken. Portion sizes are good but the place only gets 2 stars because the service is maddening slow. Getting the bill is always a chore and each time we go I have to get up and ask for the bill. Then a long clearing the table process ensues, doggie bags are dropped and yet the bill still does not get delivered! The staff are super friendly but don't seem to know how to wait on tables.

Service is the best I've had in a long time. Food amazing. I can see why it's number 1 in Burlington

Just went to this restaurant and it was delicious! Both my husband and I are vegan and the servers asked us about our dietary preferences without even prompting. Food was delicious and authentic! Try the eggplant curry for sure. Service was wonderful, water refilled constantly, and friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend trying this place.

First time eating here and the butter chicken was the best.The company and the service was great and I will definitely be coming back.

This place is amazing not only is the food fantastic but the staff were very very nice to me and my family and ordering one the phone they were just as polite i have been to many indian restaurants but this place beats them hands down

The place is clean and the location is good except that you've to pay for parking. I got here based on great reviews however I was extremely disappointed:1. We were the only table and the server decided to take a mental day-off. No warmth, no friendliness.2. The dishes we ordered were tasty but not authentic. That was a let down for sure. My experience prevents me from agreeing with the top reviews the restaurant boasts about.

Really tasty Indian food! Not too spicy and not too oily at all. Easy on the wallet and casual dining, not fine dining. Great experience!

The restaurant has been my go to when I'm craving Indian food in the Burlington area. Over the months the quality of food has gone down a bit, but still beats some of the other Indian restaurants in the vicinity. The service is very good.

Tasty Indian food. Variety of choices, aromatic dishes. Nice ambiance.

The flavor was amazing. I don't expect the level of spice that was part of the meal that I'd ordered. I had gotten the lime lamb thinking it sounded like it would be fairly mild. But I was surprised at the level of spice.The colleague I'd gone to lunch with ordered his super spicy, so maybe mine was given an extra kick too. Either way, the flavour was wonderful and the lamb was cooked beautifully.

Great spot in downtown Burlington for Indian food. Nice array of different dishes including vegetarian options. Sauces are not super spicy and very flavourful. Everyone working at the restaurant is extremely friendly and willing to help out with any questions you may have!

Awesome food and great service. Dinner for two is the way to go. The vegetable samosas must have been made and cooked fresh. Butter chicken was wonderful. Beef stew was spicy and tasty. Have the cheetah beer. I was too full to try the desert! Nice modern decor. I will be back.

Small and cozy place. The food is delicious but oilier than usual Indian dishes! Staff are friendly and helpful. It is for sure worth trying but be reafy for a heavy oily spicy Indian dish.

Amazing service and fabulous food!

Just finished a Friday night dinner. Butter chicken and prawns were fantastic. Small quiet atmosphere and service was great. A few Indian cheetah beers went great with this authentic quiz one. Definitely will come back

Big fan of their Mississauga location at Square One Mall so decided to try their Burlington location today. Super disappointed! Food was absolutely disgusting. Waited 15mns for their chana batura because ‘it’s always made fresh’ they said but there is no way what I got was fresh! The puri’s were loaded with oil especially around the edges which indicated it’s staleness right off the bat. The first bite proved the rest. Felt like I was eating rubber. This may work on other nationalities who don’t really know the difference but will never work on people who eat this stuff regularly and know better! The chana was also horrific. Overloaded with oil, thick gravy and totally inedible. Again appeared like it was made days ago as the gravy thickens with time. Fresh gravy is light and runny. Save your money and don’t eat here. If there was an option to give zero stars I would take it.

We frequent the restaurant on a bi monthly basis. The food is absolutely excellent. The service is great. The servers are so polite and very attentive. Some people may feel that the food takes a while to arrive but they make it fresh and the quality of the food is well worth the extra wait. Family owned; they are such nice people that really want you to leave happy and satisfied.

massala lime lamb was really delicious and the heavy sauce was right spicy. The resto is well furnished, music is well selected. Washrooms needs better cleaning.

Great indian food. We tried black pepper chicken. It was spicy and delicious, just like we wanted. Not too much spice as well. The Garlic naan was well done, soft but not enough for 2 people ( as suggested by the server). Check it out, its very close to the waterfront as well. The ambience is very modern. Street side parking.

My go to place for delicious Indian food. Black Pepper Chicken is their specialty and the Naans never disappoint. Not to mention the service is quick and the staff is courteous. Would definitely recommend.
